Abstract

Abstract In a xerographic apparatus by taking advantage of the adhesive property of an oxide film produced by anodic oxidation of a metal, particularly aluminum, strong adhesion is obtainable in the formation of the xerographic medium between the metal substrate and a photoconductive insulator when the latter is evaporated on the surface of the metal substrate. Moreover, both the metal substrate and the photoconductive insulator may be made flexible if the thickness of the metal substrate and the photoconductive insulator evaporated thereon is made sufficiently thin.
