Abstract
Abstract Monofunctionally-blocked tris(2-hydroxyalkyl)isocyanurates, made by reactionwith equimolar amount of a monocarboxylic acid, are statistically difunctional alcohols useful for making polyesters. Use of an Alpha -ethylenically unsaturated polycarboxylic acid or an Alpha -ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid blocking agent in conjunction with a cross-linking monomer gives casting resins which are heat resistant, self-extinguishing, weather resistant, and color stable.
