Claim 3
Dependent Claim
25 words
The method of claim 1 including the step of detaching the separable frame from the running gear prior to the lowering of the running gear.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
55 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the initially depended support means are depended from opposite sides of the separable frame and engage the ground while said one end of the separable frame is above the ground a distance greater than a distance equal to the radius of the ground engaging wheels of the running gear.
Claim 5
Independent Claim
114 words
The method of storing above ground a boat supported on a frame which is separable from the running gear of a trailer comprising the steps of: a. tilting the running gear about the ground engaging wheels thereof to raise one end of the boat supporting separable frame; b. depending support means from said raised one end of the separable frame; c. detaching the boat supporting separable frame from the running gear; d. raising the other end of the boat supporting separable frame sufficient to separate the boat supporting frame from the running gear; and, e. removing the running gear from beneath the separable frame leaving the boat stored above ground on the separable frame.
Claim 6
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
55 words
The method of claim 4 including the steps of depending support means for said other end of the separable frame and lowering the separable frame sufficiently for the support means to engage the ground, whereby the boat supporting frame is supported above ground by the ground engaging support means at opposite ends of the frame.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
45 words
The method of claim 4 wherein the initially depended support means engage the ground while said one end of the separable frame is above the ground a distance greater than a distance equal to the radius of the ground engaging wheels of the running gear.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
40 words
The method of claim 6 wherein the height above ground to which said other end of the boat supporting frame is raised is greater than a distance equal to the radius of the ground engaging wheels of the running gear.
Claim 10
Independent Claim
165 words
The method of removing a separable frame and a body supported thereon as a single unit from a running gear on which the separable frame is detachably secured comprising the steps of: a. tilting the running gear about the ground engaging wheels thereof to raise one end of the separable frame; b. extending a supporting leg downwardly from said raised one end of the separable frame; c. raising the other end of the running gear until the supporting legs engage the ground and until the wheels of the running gear disengage the ground; d. extending a supporting leg downwardly from said other end of the separable frame; e. lowering said other end of the running gear until the separable frame is supported by the supporting legs; f. lowering the running gear until the running gear separates from the separable frame and the wheels of the running gear engage the ground; and, g. removing the running gear from beneath the body supported on the separable frame.
Claim 11
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
23 words
The method of claim 8 wherein the supporting legs are longer in length than the radius of the wheels of the running gear.
Claim 13
Independent Claim
151 words
The method of loading a frame having a boat supported thereon above ground as a single unit upon the running gear of a trailer comprising the steps of: a. positioning the running gear of a trailer beneath the boat supported frame; b. raising the forward end of the running gear sufficiently to engage the bow end of the boat supporting frame thereon; c. securing the forward end of the running gear to the bow end of the boat supporting frame; d. displacing the bow support means of the boat supporting frame; e. lowering the forward end of the running gear sufficiently to raise the rear end of the running gear into engagement with the stern end of the boat supporting frame; f. securing the rear end of the running gear to the stern end of the boat supporting frame; and, g. displacing the stern support means of the boat supportiNg frame.
