Abstract
Abstract Novel aromatic guanidine compounds having the formula: WHEREIN: R1 is hydrogen; R2 is chloro, fluoro or bromo; R3 is hydroxy, or alkyl having one to four carbon atoms; and R4 is hydrogen, chloro, bromo or fluoro are found to have biological activity. The guanidine compounds and their salts are shown to be active as vasoconstrictor agents and create useful pharmaceutical preparations when deployed with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier for administration to a host, e.g., man, requiring vasoconstrictive therapy.
