Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 11 words
The laser of claim 1, wherein said noble gas is helium.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 28 words
The laser as claimed in claim 2, comprising means to selectively excite the nitrogen molecules with an excitation energy at the initial levels of the negative nitrogen band.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 11 words
The laser of claim 1, wherein said noble gas is argon.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 24 words
The laser as claimed in claim 4, comprising means to selectively excite the nitrogen molecules at the argon gas levels excitation energy at s5(3P20).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 24 words
The laser as claimed in claim 4, comprising means to selectively excite the nitrogen molecules at the argon gas levels excitation energy at s3(3PO0).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 11 words
The laser of claim 1, wherein said noble gas is krypton.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 24 words
The laser as claimed in claim 7, comprising means to selectively excite the nitrogen molecules at the krypton gas levels excitation energy at s5(3P20).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 11 words
The laser of claim 1, wherein said noble gas is xenon.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 23 words
The laser as claimed in claim 9, comprising means to selectively excite the nitrogen molecules at xenon gas level excitation energy at s5(3P20).
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 39 words
An laser as claimed in claim 1, in which the a discharge tube has the diameter which lies in the range of about 1 to 30 mm and is inversely proportional to the partial pressure of the noble gas.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 46 words
An laser as claimed in claim 1, in which said exciting means so excites said mixture of gases that the molecules of nitrogen remain unionized while emitting coherent ultraviolet radiation, and, at the same time, substantially none of the atoms of said noble gas emit radiation.
