Abstract THE HEAT SETTING OF CROSS-LINKED SPANDEX CAN BE INCREASED BY ADDING A DIHYDRIC PHENOL, PREFERABLY BISPHENOL A, TO THE PERFORMED POLYESTER OR POLYETHER PRIOR TO REACTION WITH THE ORGANIC POLYISOCYANATE AND SUBSEQUENTLY CURING, E.G., WITH A POLYAMINE. HE USE OF THE DIHYDRIC PHENOL ALSO PERMITS FASTER CURING OF THE SPANDEX AT LOWER TEMPERATURE.
