Abstract PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIALS COMPRISING A LIGHT-SENSITIVE SILVER HALIDE EMULSION LAYER HAVING IN THE EMULSION LAYER OF IN AN ADJACENT WATER-PERMEABLE LAYER A COMPOUND PROVIDING ACETYLENE DICARBOXYLIC ACID ANIONS ARE DESCRIBED. THESE PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIALS HAVE DECREASED FOGGING TENDENCY, EVEN UNDER CONDITIONS OF HIGH TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY, AND THEIR SENSITIVITY IS PRACTICALLY NOT LOWERED BY THE PRESENCE OF THIS COMPOUND.
