Abstract A TECHNIQUE IS DEXRIBED FOR ENHANCING THE WETTABILITY CHARACTERISTICS OF A PHOTOLITHOGRAPHICALLY DEFINABLE GOLD CONDUCTOR PATTERN WITH RESPECT TO GLASS WHEREIN A THIN FILM OF RHODIUM IS INTERPOSED BETWEEN THE GOLD AND THE APPLIED GLASS FILM. THE RESULTANT STRUCTURE INCLUDES A SMOOTH, DEFECT-FREE GLASS INSULATING FILM AND IS UNIQUELY SUITED FOR MULTILAYER ELECTRONIC CIRCUITRY INCLUDING A GLASS DIELECTRIC.
