Abstract
Abstract The present invention relates to device for constructing mines, in which the mining member is mounted on a jib. This device is provided with a means which is also mounted on the jib and makes it possible to supply the facing elements to a required place of the face and to mount them thereat.

A device for constructing mines, comprising a frame, a jib mounted on said frame, a working member mounted on the end portion of said jib remote from said frame, said working member including means for mining a face in the mine, a ferrule means mounted on said jib, gripper means on said ferrule means for conveying a mine facing element and positioning the latter against the faced surface of the mine, and means for pivoting and longitudinally displacing said ferrule means relative to said jib.
