Abstract
Abstract Superradiant traveling-wave laser emission is produced with polymethine cyanine dyes pumped by mode-locked or Q-switched laser pulses without the necessity of a feedback cavity for the dye. Picosecond duration laser pulses may be produced at a variety of wavelengths by choosing the proper dye and the pumping laser wavelength.
