Abstract A PROCESS OF MAKING A SHEET PAPER IN WHICH AN AQUEOUS DISPERSION CONTAINING SYNTHETIC FIBER, A HOT WATER SOLUBLE FIBER BINDER AND CARBOXYMETHYL CELLULOSE IS PREPARED AND SUBSEQUENTLY, A SHEET PAPER IS FORMED FROM THE AQUEOUS DISPERSION. THE AQUEOUS DISPERSION MAY CONTAIN A FIBROUS MATERIAL HAVING A LOWER MELTING POINT THAN THAT OF THE SYNTHETIC FIBER IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE INGREDIENTS. A SHEET PAPER FROM THE LATTER AQUEOUS DISPERSION IS SUBJECTED TO HEAT TREATMENT.
