Abstract ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE METAL PATTERNS ARE PRODUCED BY EXPOSING A HOMOGENEOUS MIXTURE OF A HYDROPHOBIC RESINOUS BINDING AGENT AND A LIGHT-SENSITIVE SEMICONDUCTIVE OXIDE SUCH AS TITANIUM DIOXIDE TO LIGHT, TREATING THE EXPOSED AREAS WITH A COPPER SOLUTION OR A SOLUTION OF A METAL AT LEAST AS HIGH AS COPPER IN THE E.M.F. SERIES TO FORM A METAL NUCLEI IMAGE, AND THEN INTENSIFYING THE NUCLEI IMAGE BY THE USE OF A STABILIZED PHYSICAL DEVELOPER OR BY THE USE OF AN ELECTROLESS COPPER, COBALT OR NICKELPLATING BATH.
