Abstract

Abstract An emphasized-carrier system for a television receiver which allows luminance, chrominance and sound signals to be detected in a common stage. The amplitude of the picture carrier frequency of an IF signal is increased with respect to the other frequencies thereof, and the resulting distorted signal is applied to a first detector device. The incremental change in the IF signal is abstracted and applied to a second detector device. The signals outputted by the two detectors are then subtracted in a differential amplifier to produce an undistorted detected signal.
