Abstract Novel compositions of matter comprising a polymeric compound and an N-substituted polyhalopolyhydropolycyclicdicarboximide as exemplified by polypropylene and quanyl-5,6,7,8,9,9-hexachloro1,2,3,4,4a,5,8,8a-octahydro-5,8-methano -2,3naphthalenedicarboximide possess certain physical properties such as being flameproof or fire resistant.
