Abstract A COPYING APPARATUS HAVING A SLOT SHAPED EXPOSURE ORIFICE PARALLEL TO AND ADJACENT TO A NARROW EDGE OF A SUBSTANTIALLY RECTANGULAR FRAME. TRANSPORT ROLLERS PROTRUDE ABOVE THE TOP COVER OF THE APPARATUS AND COOPERATE WITH A TRANSPARENT, PLATE-SHAPED CARRIER FOR THE ORIGINAL. CHARGING AND EXPOSURE COMPONENTS ARE PROVIDED FOR PRODUCING AN IMAGE ON AN ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC BAND. THE IMAGE IS THEN TRANSFERRED TO THE FINAL SUPPORT WHICH MAY BE OF ANY DESIRED MATERIAL.
