The method of claim 1 wherein the manganese is initially present as a compound selected from the group consisting of manganese oxalate, manganese hydroxide, manganese nitrate, manganese carbonate, manganese salts of aliphatic monocarboxylic acids of one to five carbon atoms, manganese sulfates, salts of aliphatic alcohols of one to five carbon atoms, hydrates thereof and mixtures thereof.
