Abstract
Abstract The invention essentially relates to an apparatus for welding thin-sheet plastics materials including support means secured to a casing and one heating tape stretched upon said support means, said tape having one end connected to a movable element so as to cause the displacement of said movable element during the lengthening of the tape; thermostatic switch means carried by a member pivotally mounted in said casing; means for actuating the said pivotable member; and a cover hingedly mounted on said casing and provided with means for pressing the said sheets and for cutting them outside the weld line thus formed.
