Abstract
Abstract A liquid corrosion inhibitor and method designed for use by water treatment plants for the control of corrosion of municipal, industrial, commercial and domestic metal piping systems, wherein, as the inhibitor is economically added to the flowing water supply in minute dosages, it passivates the surface of the metal piping as it deposits a self-controlled film of insoluble zinc phosphate. One of the preferred inhibitors is ''''zincsulfamate-orthophosphate.'''' To be effective, the pH must be controlled to within the range of 5-9.
