Abstract THE FLAME RESISTANCE OF WOOL FIBERS AND BLENDS OF WOOL FIBERS IS ENHANCED THROUGH REACTION WITH BIS-(B-CHLOROETHYL) VINYL PHOSPHONATE IN THE PRESENCE OF A FREE RADICAL GENERATING CATALYST. THE WOOL FIBERS MAY BE MODIFIED BY REDUCING AGENT PRIOR TO CONTACT WITH THE PHOSPHONATE.
