Abstract
Abstract Polyphase compositions having, as a continuous phase a propylene polymer and as a second phase a synthetic or natural rubber, are prepared by dispersing a propylene polymer of substantially all sub-micron particle size in the second phase and fusing the polymer under controlled conditions which assure the formation of the propylene polymer into a continuous phase.

Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim
11 words
The process of claim 1 where the propylene polymer is polypropylene.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
13 words
The process of claim 2 where the amorphous phase is ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
20 words
The process of claim 1 where the composition is shaped prior to fusion to form the continuous propylene polymer phase.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
15 words
The process of claim 4 where the shape is a film adhered to a substrate.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
37 words
The process of claim 1 where the amorphous second phase is rendered fluid by dissolving the same in a solvent at a temperature below that at which the propylene polymer melts or dissolves in the resulting solution.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
26 words
The process of claim 1 where the cooling of the propylene polymer-amorphous phase solution is effected in the presence of a solvent for the amorphous phase.
