Abstract WHERE THE EXOTHERM FROM THE POLYURETHANE REACTION IS INSUFFICIENT TO CAUSE EXPANSION OF EXPANDED THERMOPLASTIC PARTICLES (BEADS) DISPERED THEREIN THE PRATICLES MAY BE SUBSTANTIALLY FOLLY EXPANDED BY SUBJECTING THE COMPOSITE FOAM TO HIGH FREQUENCY ELECTRICAL ENERGY FOR A TIME SUFFICIENT TO EXPAND THEM. THIS IMPROVED PROCESS IS RAPID, READILY CONTROLLED AND PRODUCES IMPROVED FOAM COMPOSITES.
