Abstract N-VINYLCARBOZOLE IS POLYMERIZED CATALYTTICALLY USING 2, 4, 5, 7-TETRANITRO-9-FLUORENONE AS THE POLYMERIZATION CATALYST. THE REACTION IS CARRIED OUT UNDER ELEVATED TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS. THE RESULTING POLYMER-FLUORENONE COMPOSITION IS USEFUL IN THE PREPARATION OF PHOTOCONDUCTIVE PLATES USED IN THE ELECTROSTATIC DUPLICATING FIELD.
