Abstract
Abstract A high-temperature dimensionally stable nuclear reactor fuel element containing tungsten and uranium nitride in the form of a cermet or uranium nitride only in which the particle size of the fuel material is not larger than the grain size of the uranium nitride and in which the fuel region contains 20 to 30 volume percent of highly interconnected porosity evenly distributed throughout the fuel region.
