Abstract
Abstract A parting composition, including a mixture of manganese dioxide and an oxide of chromium, can be applied to the contacting surfaces of metal sheets and plates in assemblies to be hot worked. The parting composition prevents adhesion between those surfaces to which it is applied. After hot working, the composition can be easily removed from the treated surfaces with an acid pickling solution.
