Abstract EXCESS SULFUR IS REMOVED TO RESTORE SULFIDITY TO A PROPER BALANCE BY SEPARATING HYDROGEN SULFIDE, THE ACIDITY OF THE RESULTING SOLUTION BEING SO ADJUSTED AS TO LIBERATE THE SULFUR AS HYDROGEN SULFIDE IN APPROPRIATE AMOUNT.
