Abstract NOVEL CARBODIMIDE FOAMS ARE PREPARED BY CONDENSING AN ORGANIC POLYISOCYANATE IN THE PRESENCE OF A CATALYTICALLY SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF A 2,4,6-TRIS(DIALKANOLOAMINO)-S-TRIAZINE CATALYST. THE FOAMS OF THE PRESENT INVENTION ARE RIGID, DENSE CELLULAR COMPOSITIONS WHICH EXHIBIT EXCELLENT FLAME RETARDANCY AND LOW SMOKING CHARACTERISTICS.
