Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim
118 words
An improved apparatus for providing a liquid material to be injected at a plurality of sites in a meat item, said apparatus comprising: a plurality of liquid-metering means, each of said metering means being constructed to provide rates of liquid flow independent from one another; supply means for liquid connected to each of said metering means; separate delivering means connected to each of said metering means for delivering quantities of fluid to a plurality of injecting instruments; and powered means for simultaneously expelling liquid from each of said metering means into said delivering means for equal intervals of the time whereby separate amounts of liquid are delivered from each metering means according to the respective rate of flow.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
80 words
The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the metering means are cylinders having pistons therein with piston rods extending therefrom and the powered means is connected by a common yoke to each piston rod whereby when the yoke is forced in one direction liquid will be simultaneously expelled from each cylinder in amounts proportional to the diameter of each cylinder and when the yoke is forced in an opposite direction each cylinder will be filled with liquid from said supply means.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
55 words
The apparatus of claim 2 including first means to measure the movement of said yoke in one of said directions and controlled means connected between the first means and said powered means to stop the latter upon such movement reaching a selected magnitude whereby the amounts of liquid expelled from said cylinders may be regulated.
