Abstract
Abstract This invention relates to a heating furnace assembly which is adapted to be coupled to and become a part of a mass spectrometer adjacent to the ion source (usually) within the instrument. The furnace is a radiant heating device utilizing a helical coil and reflective surface and is adapted to be controlled by means of temperature sensing means disposed within a separate thermal analysis cell which is adapted to be disposed within the furnace.
