Abstract WATER SUSPENSIONS CONTAINING (I) A SILICATE OR MIXTURE OF A SILICATE AND COLLOIDAL SILICA AND (II) A PHOSPAHTE OF CERIUM, HAFNIUM, TIN, TITANIUM, OR ZIRCONIUM HAVE BEEN FOUND TO BE STABLE. WATER-INSOLUBLE FILMS OR ION-EXCHANGE MEMBERS CAN BE MADE BY REMOVING THE WATER FROM THE SUSPENSIONS.
