Abstract

Abstract A spinning disc game including first and second discs having indicia thereon and mounted on a supporting structure for rotation relative thereto. The second disc is also movable along a path and a driving connection between the two discs is formed in response to movement of the second disc in one direction along such path to thereby permit simultaneous driving of both discs. The second disc is urged in the other direction along such path so that when the second disc is released, it moves in such other direction to thereby break the driving connection between the discs. Thereafter, the discs may rotate relatively independently. Magnetic means cause the discs to stop rotating with the indicia thereof in substantial alignment.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 2
Claim 1
Independent Claim 304 words
A game comprising: a supporting structure; first and second discs, each of said discs having a face with indicia thereon; first means for mounting said first disc on said supporting structure for rotation relative thereto; second means for mounting said second disc on said supporting structure for rotation relative to said supporting structure substantially independently of said first disc and for movement in both directions along a predetermined path relative to said supporting structure; third means responsive to movement of said second disc in one direction along said predetermined path for drivingly connecting said first and second discs for rotation relative to said supporting structure whereby said first and second discs can be rotated by rotating said second disc; fourth means for urging said second disc in the other direction along said path; said third means being responsive to movement of said second disc in said other direction along said path for breaking the driving connection between said first and second discs whereby upon release of said second disc the means for urging urges the second disc in said other direction to break the driving connection between the first and second discs so that the first and second discs can rotate independently of each other; magnetic means for stopping said first and second discs with at least some of the indicia on said faces of the first and second discs being generally aligned; said first and second discs being generally coplanar at least when the driving connection between said discs is broken, one of said discs being generally annular and having an inner periphery for substantially surrounding the other of said discs, said other disc having a periphery closely adjacent said inner periphery; and said magnetic means including a magnet and an element attracted thereby carried by said discs, respectively, adjacent said peripheries thereof.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 304 words
