Abstract STRONG, STABLE PARTICLES CONTAINING A MIXTURE OF A SODIUM TRIPOLYPHOSPHATE AND A SILCATE, WHREIN THE SIO2 TO TRIPOLYPHOSPHATE MOLE RATIO IS AT LEAST 1:1, WERE PRODUCED BY ADMIXING SODIUM TRIPOLYPHOSPHATE AND AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF AN ALKALI METAL SILICATE TO OBTAIN A STICKY MIXTURE WHICH AGGLOMERATES INTO SOFT, DEFORMABLE GRANULES, DRYING THE GRANULES AT FROM 60 TO 80*C. AND RECOVERING THE RESULTING, DRIED, GRANULAR PARTICLES.
