Abstract A METHOD OF FABRICATING A LINED GATE VALVE IS DISCLOSED IN WHICH A SLEEVE OPENING CAST WITHIN THE VALVE BODY MEMBER IS USED AS A REFERENCE FOR FINAL MACHINING BOTH THE VALVE THROAT AND VALVE SEAT. UPERFORMED THROAT AND SLEEVE LINER SECTIONS ARE FABRICATED TO FORM A CONTINUOUS CORROSION-RESISTANT INNER SURFACE CONTIGUOUS WITH AND SUPPORTED BY THE BODY MATERIAL.
