Abstract
Abstract A method for preparing metal surfaces for receipt of a coating such as a paint or adhesive (whereby increased coating adhesion and corrosion resistance is achieved) and the treated metal per se, are disclosed. The method comprises contacting the metal surface with various hydroxyalkyl phosphine oxide derivatives.
