Abstract
Abstract Sulfur compounds are removed from liquid hydrocarbon streams by selective adsorption on zeolitic molecular sieves and periodic desorption therefrom using a hot purge gas having a high water content. Regeneration of the adsorbent is carried out only to the degree that less than about 5 and more than about 2 weight percent water remains adsorbed on the zeolite.
