Claim 5
Dependent Claim
145 words
A nonwoven fabric bonded in at least a portion of its area with a dried deposit of a composition comprising (1) a linear polymer of ethyl acrylate having an MFT not above room temperature and a molecular weight of about 150,000 to 300,000 viscosity average obtained by emulsion polymerization using 0.2 to 5 percent by weight, based on the total monomer weight, of a chain-transfer agent and (2) a polymer containing polymerized units of vinyl chloride, methyl methacrylate, styrene, vinyltoluene, or acrylonitrile which polymer has an MFT of at least about 50* C., the polymers being present in a proportion of 60 to 90 percent by weight of (1) and 40 to 10 percent by weight of (2) respectively, said fabric being in the form of a sleeve wherein a longitudinal edge is overlapped on and heat-sealed to the opposite longitudinal edge of the fabric.
