Abstract
Abstract A tile having a core portion of resin-bonded granular filler e.g. resin-bonded sand, and a resin-impregnated fibrous facing layer and backing layer. The facing layer provides the main strength of the tile and can carry high-quality designs. The core provides the bulk of the tile and as it is usually cellular it also provides insulating properties.
