Abstract APPARATUS AS DISCLOSED FOR SUPPORTING AND CONTROLLING THE EDGES OF METALLIC, ESPECIALLY PRTICULATE METAL, AS THE MATERIAL ENTERS THE BITE OF A ROLLING MILL. THE APPARATUS CONTAINS TWO WEAR BLOCK MEMBERS ADAPTED TO FIT INTO THE BITE REGION OF THE ROLLING MILL AND TO GUIDE AND SUPPORT THE PARTICULATE METAL BEING ROLLED. THE WEAR MEMBERS ARE SUPPORTED SO THAT THAY ARE SUBSTANTIALLY RESTRAINED FROM MOVEMENT IN ALL DIRECTIONS OTHER THAN PARALLEL TO THE DIRECTION OF ROLLING.
