Abstract A GAS TURBINE IS PROVIDED WITH A PAIR OF DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED RADIALLY EXTENDING AIR INLET DUCTS ADJACENT THE COMPRESSOR AND A PAIR OF DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED, RADIALLY EXTENDING EXHAUST DUCTS ADJACENT THE POWER TURBINE ROTOR MEANS TO ADAPT THE TURBINE FOR AUTOMOTIVE INSTALLATION. A PAIR OF PARALLEL, CYLINDRICAL COMBUSTION CHAMBERS ARE DISPOSED NORMAL TO THE DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED INLET DUCTS AND A BYPASS CHANNEL HAVING A SUITABLE CONTROL VALVE EXTENDS FROM A POINT INTERMEDIATE THE HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE ROTOR AND THE LOW PRESSURE TURBINE ROTOR TO THE EXHAUST DUCTS.
