Abstract

Abstract A distributed parameter electromagnetic delay line is obtained by superimposing insulating thin foldable substrates carrying conductive patterns, which form, when folded in accordionlike fashion, a helicoidal winding composed of a plurality of turns interleaved with grounded conducting areas. As an alternate construction, a single insulating substrate carrying conductive patterns on both sides may be used.
