Abstract
Abstract Disclosed herein are polymer blends comprising a first interpolymer of a vinyl alcohol ester and at least one ethylenically unsaturated acid ester and a second interpolymer comprising a vinyl aromatic compound, at least one ethylenically unsaturated acid ester and at least one compound containing one or more acid groups. These blends are particularly useful as zinc oxide binders. The polymer blends are also useful as adhesives and coatings for such substrates as paper, glass and metal foil.
