Abstract PROCESS FOR THE CONTINUOUS, TENSION-FREE FIXING AND SHRINKING OF CABLE OF UNCRIMPED FILAMENTS, YARNS OR THE LIKE WHEREIN THE CABLE IS CONDUCTED BY MEANS OF A COMPRESSIBLE MEDIUM IN COILED OR SPIRAL FORM THROUGH A TUBULAR TREATMENT ZONE, AND DURING THE PASSAGE THROUGH THE SAID ZONE IS SUBJECTED TO FIXING AND SHRINKING TREATMENT; AND APPARATUS THEREFOR EMBODYING A VERTICAL TUBE AND A ROTATING, CABLE INJECTOR ON THE UPPER END OF THE TUBE, THE OUTLET OPENING OF WHICH TUBE LIES ECCENTRICALLY IN RESPECT TO THE AXIS OF ROTATION OF THE INJECTOR.
