Abstract THIS INVENTION PROVIDES A DEVICE WHICH IS EFFECTIVE AUTOMATICALLY TO LIMIT THE RANGE OF PERMITTED MOVEMENT OF A FUEL SUPPLY CONTROL ELEMENT IN RESPONSE TO A TEMPERTURE SENSED IN THE ENGINE EXHAUST GASES WHEN SAID TEMEPRATURE EXCEEDS A GIVEN THRESHOLD VALUE. OVERHEATING OF THE ENGINE WHEN WORKING IN RAREFIELD AIR IS THEREBY AVOIDED.
