Abstract
Abstract A toner concentration sensing apparatus arranged in the circulation path of developing material in an electrostatic reproduction machine and having a housing into which some of the moving developing material is diverted. The apparatus includes means in the housing or splitting the inflowing material into a plurality of paths each of which has associated therewith a toner concentration sensing device all of which cooperate with a toner replenishing means. A timing mechanism is connected to the sensing devices for periodically controlling their operation as toner concentration sensing devices.
