Abstract A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF POLYPROPYLENE-BASED MOLDING MATERIALS HAVING IMPROVED IMPACT STRENGTH AT LOW TEMPERATURES. IN THIS PROCESS A POLYPROPYLENE HAVING A RELATIVELY HIGH FRACTION SOLUBLE IN HEPTANE IS KNEADED AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURE WITH RELATIVELY SMALL AMOUNTS OF AN ELASTOMERIC POLYMER CONTAINING POLYMERIZED UNITS OF A 1,3-DIENE WITH THE ADDITION OF FREE RADICAL-FORMING CATALYSTS.
