The exhaust gases are flowed in a stream through a housing, air is added to the stream to create an air-gas stream, and a portion of the air-gas stream is diverted and flowed in the opposite direction within the housing in a path surrounding the air-gas stream. The diverted portion of the air-gas stream is ignited and added back into the main airgas stream.
