Abstract
Abstract POLY(BIUREAS) ARE FORMED BY THE REACTION OF POLYISOCYANATES WITH SEMICARBAZIDES, AND BY OTHER SYNTHESES. THE POLY(BIUREAS), WHICH ARE POLYHYDRAZO COMPOUNDS, ARE READILY REVERSIBLY OXIDIZED TO THE CORRESPONDING AZO COMPOUNDS. THE OXIDATION-REDUCTION REACTION OF THE HYDRAZOAZO MOIETIES ACT AS DEPOLARIZING REACTION FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY BATTERY CELLS, PARTICULARLY ZINC-CARBON CELLS.
