Claim 1
Independent Claim
139 words
A plastic shell for a construction block, said shell having a generally rectangular exterior configuration and comprising sidewalls, an end wall, a pair of spaced top wall segments each extending the length of said shell and being joined with one each of said sidewalls and with said end wall, a bottom wall conjoint with said side and end walls, interior walls extending between one each of said top wall segments and said bottom wall for the internal length of said shell and spaced inwardly from said sidewalls to form thereby longitudinally extending cavities open at the end of the shell opposite said end wall, and an end wall segment extending between and conjoint with the end portions of said bottom and interior walls opposite said end wall to form thereby pocket means opening at the top of said shell.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
28 words
The plastic shell of claim 1 wherein projecting alignment means are provided on said bottom wall and adapted to nest in the pocket means of an underlying shell.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
20 words
The plastic shell of claim 2 wherein a web connects the internal walls essentially midway the length of the shell.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
58 words
The plastic shell of claim 3 wherein said web is twice as thick as said end wall, wherein said projecting alignment means is spaced longitudinally from said end wall and end wall segment a distance essentially equal to the thickness of said end wall, and wherein said end wall and end wall segment are essentially the same thickness.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
25 words
The plastic shell of claim 2 wherein said projecting alignment means have an overall width dimension essentially equal to the width of said pocket means.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
25 words
The plastic shell of claim 4 wherein said projecting alignment means have an overall width dimension essentially equal to the width of said pocket means.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
18 words

Claim 9
Dependent Claim
12 words
The plastic shell of claim 1 comprising an integral single piece molding.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
15 words
The plastic shell of claim 1 wherein the various portions thereof are adhesively secured together.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
21 words
A construction block comprising the plastic shell of claim 1 wherein the said longitudinally extending cavities are filled with cementitious material.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
21 words
A construction block comprising the plastic shell of claim 2 wherein the said longitudinally extending cavities are filled with cementitious material.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim
21 words
A construction block comprising the plastic shell of claim 4 wherein the said longitudinally extending cavities are filled with cementitious material.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim
20 words
A construction block comprising the plastic shell of claim 6 wherein said longitudinally extending cavities are filled with cementitious material.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim
71 words
The plastic shell of claim 3 wherein the said end wall and end wall segment are essentially the same thickness, wherein the said web is essentially twice the thickness of said end wall, and wherein the said alignment means comprises aligning Studs positioned on opposite sides of the transverse center line of the said bottom wall and each spaced equidistantly therefrom a distance equal to the thickness of said end wall.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim
20 words
A construction block comprising the plastic shell of claim 14 wherein said longitudinally extending cavities are filled with cementitious material.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim
35 words
A wall section comprising layers of the construction block of claim 15 wherein the blocks in each layer are offset from the blocks in an adjacent layer by essentially one-half the length of the block.
Claim 18
Dependent Claim
157 words
A wall section of layers of adhesively connected construction blocks, each of said blocks comprising a plastic shell having a generally rectangular exterior configuration and comprising sidewalls, an end wall, a pair of spaced top wall segments each extending the length of said shell and being joined with one each of said sidewalls and with said end wall, a bottom wall conjoint with said side and end walls, interior walls extending between one each of said top wall segments and said bottom wall for the internal length of said shell and spaced inwardly from said sidewalls to form thereby longitudinally extending cavities open at the end of the shell opposite said end wall, and an end wall segment extending between and conjoint with the end portions of said bottom and interior walls opposite said end wall to form thereby pocket means opening at the top of said shell, said longitudinally extending cavities being filled with cementitious material.
Claim 19
