Claim 9
Independent Claim
86 words
A method for recording engine life usage comprising the steps of: providing signals responsive to temperature and r.p.m. of an engine, summing said signals to provide an analog signal related to the instantaneous rate of engine life being used, converting said signal into a serial digital form having a total pulse count proportional to the antilog of said analog instantaneous rate usage signal, and integrating said serial pulse train by counting, whereby the total number of counts accumulated is directly proportional to percent engine life used.
