Abstract A PROCESS IF IMAGE REPRODUCTION WHICH COMPRISES: (A) IMAGE-WISE EXPOSING A SILVER HALIDE EMULSION ON A SUPPORT; (B) FORMING A METALLIC SILVER SURFACE IMAGE IN THE UNEXPOSED AREAS BY SILVER TRANSFER DEVELOPMENT; (C) TREATING THE SURFACE OF THE ELEMENT WITH A SOLUTION OF AN ADJUVANT WHICH RENDERS THE UNEXPOSED AREAS MORE OLEOPHOBIC THAN THE EXPOSED AREAS; AND (D) USING THE ELEMENT TO PRINT BY LITHOGRAPHY.
