Abstract A DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING A VISUAL RECORD OF ELECTRICALLY RECORDED SEISMIC DATA USING A PHOTOCONDUCTIVE MEDIUM. THE SYSTEM USES A CATHODE-RAY TUBE TO CONVERT THE ELECTRICAL SIGNALS TO VISIBLE LIGHT FOR WRITING THE SEISMIC DATA ON THE PHOTOCONDUCTIVE MEDIUM. THE SYSTEM INCLUDES MEANS FOR SPATIALLY LIMITING THE ELECTROSTATIC CHARGING OF THE PHOTOCONDUCTIVE MEDIUM PRIOR TO WRITING THE SIGNALS ON THE PHOTOCON- DUCTIVE MEDIUMS. THE SYSTEM ALSO INCLUDES A MEANS FOR DEVELOPING THE CHARGE PATTERNS IN A LIQUID BATH SUCH THAT RAPID ACCESS IS ATTAINED, ALLOWING ONLINE INSPECTION OF THE PROCESSED DATA.
